Health Recovery and Wellness

Health Recovery treatment aims to enhance and restore functional ability and quality of life to those with minor physical imbalances that disturb their quality of life. A practitioner trained in this field specializes in restoring ideal function to muscles and tissue that are in a state of unbalance.

Treatment involves the correcting of simple bio-mechanical deficits that affect or alter simple movement. Emphasis is placed on the optimization of function through a Pain Management Care© protocol, Osteopathy, Eastern Medicine, Therapeutic exercise, Traditional medicine, nutritional or dietary changes and herbal remedies.

Pain Management Care©

Pain is very common in the general population with many sufferers taking analgesics and sedatives on a regular basis; with some people suffering from low back pain, body aches and long-term headaches. A Pain Management Care Health program is designed to relieve pain or assist in making it more bearable and help you to cope with the discomfort of pain and enable you to manage your health and wellness in spite of it.

Osteopathic Manual Treatment

Osteopathic Manual Treatment evaluates connective tissue dysfunction, which include injuries of the musculo-skeletal, circulatory and nervous systems, treatment is carried out by the use of connective tissue manipulation, therapeutic and rehabilitative exercise, postural and nutritional counseling, and the use of the effective properties of mobilization of soft tissue for the purpose correcting, alleviating or preventing a physical impairment or activity limitation.

Osteopathic works by decompressing structure and tissue restrictions, thereby releasing body structures enhancing the body's ability to heal and restore normal function. A consultation involves manual examination of the body to assess the flow of fluids, tissue dysfunction, bone compression, joint mobility, and related affected tissue, then treatment is utilised to mobilize the affected area to release the injury pattern.

Acupuncture, Ayurveda & Meridian Therapy

Eastern Medicine includes Traditional Chinese Medicine, Indian Ayurvedic and other forms of Indigenous medicine. Eastern Traditional therapies include natural medication remedies, if they involve use of herbal medicines, animal parts and/or minerals; and non-medication therapies if they are carried out primarily without the use of medication, as in the case of Acupuncture, Manual therapies and Energy therapies. In countries where the dominant health care system is based on allopathic medicine, or where Traditional Medicine has not been incorporated into the national health care system, TM “Complementary” or “Alternative” Medicine is used.
